Autoseal RC-3902H Water-Based Flocking Adhesive

Autoseal RC-3902H is a water-based adhesive for automotive flocking on EPDM and TPO profiles. It is mixed with a compatible hardener to bond the flock to the profile surface.

Remove surface contamination before applying the adhesive. Thoroughly stir the adhesive before adding the selected hardener. Apply the mixed system, including by roll coating, and apply the flock immediately afterwards.

The adhesive requires heat curing. The hardener and curing schedule must be matched to the supplied system, line speed and oven configuration before production.

Compatible hardener options are Autoseal 3463B, RC-804B or RC-805B. Select the appropriate hardener for the system; these are alternatives, not three components to add together. At room temperature, slowly add the selected hardener while stirring, using an adhesive-to-hardener ratio of 100:5–10 by weight.

A typical wet film of 150 µm corresponds to about 50 µm dry film. Apply the flock immediately after coating. The curing reference is 150°C for 5–10 minutes, with the exact schedule adjusted for line speed and oven length.

Shelf life is six months from manufacture in the original, unopened container, stored in a well-ventilated area at 21–27°C.
