Materials and molding applications
Hongtu HT 629A forms a dry, colorless release film on the mold and allows multiple releases after application. It is intended for synthetic rubber molding, with particular suitability for peroxide-cured elastomers. Not suitable for silicone rubber.
Suitable processes include injection, compression, transfer and reaction injection molding. It can also be used in molding materials such as phenolic and epoxy resins, nylon and ABS, with metal or non-metal molds.
Spray application
Thoroughly clean the mold to remove grease, dust and cleaner residues. For initial use, spray three thin, even coats, allowing 30 seconds between coats for drying. Heat at the vulcanization temperature for 10 minutes before starting rubber production.
Spray evenly from 10–25 cm away. Reapply as needed with one coat each time, then heat for 30 seconds before resuming production. Avoid excess product, which can leave residue and cause mold buildup.
Product form
The liquid is clear and colorless, with a heptane/isopropanol solvent system. The reference pack size is a 450 mL aerosol can; confirm the available packaging when ordering.
