LORD JMC-502K is a phenolic magnet coating supplied as a black liquid. Its application is surface protection of neodymium-iron-boron (NdFeB) magnets, including magnets used in direct-drive permanent-magnet wind generators.
Application considerations
Magnet-coating selection needs to account for the magnet substrate, corrosion exposure and assembly process. JMC-502K is a distinct grade; application instructions for other JMC coatings should not be assumed to apply to it.
