THIXON 422 is a one-component adhesive for bonding castable polyurethane to metal in applications with heat and humidity resistance requirements.
Materials and substrates
The principal application is cast polyurethane bonded to metal inserts. Substrates include cold-rolled steel, phosphate-treated or grit-blasted cold-rolled steel, aluminum and stainless steel.
Preparing the bond surface
Remove surface contamination with an appropriate solvent or alkaline cleaning process, then dry the substrate. Select the preparation and heating sequence for the polyurethane formulation and the metal surface being bonded.
Application enquiries
