Product overview
Chemlok 6125GB is a solvent-based covercoat for bonding selected elastomers to metal. It is applied over Chemlok 205GB primer.
Coating properties
- Improved resistance to heat.
- Resists water, salt spray, chemicals, oils, solvents, and corrosive atmospheres.
- Forms a continuous, uniform film.
Compatible elastomers
Natural rubber (NR), polyisoprene (IR), styrene-butadiene rubber (SBR), polybutadiene (BR), and polychloroprene (CR).
Application guidance
Prepare and clean the metal, apply Chemlok 205GB primer, and allow it to dry before applying 6125GB. Use brush, dip, spray, or roll coat. A typical dry-film thickness is 12.7–25.4 μm (0.5–1.0 mil).
